Veterinary medicine is becoming increasingly specialized. The good news about this is that it is much easier for a general practitioner and pet owner to obtain second opinions and consultation from board certified specialist in clinical areas such as Internal Medicine, Opthalmology, Dermatology, Neurology, Radiology, and Surgery than ever before.
Many times, specialist consultation can be handled by your veterinarian either on-line or via phone or e-mail allowing the patient to avoid travelling. However, in some cases your veterinarian may recommend you take your pet to a specialist either because you pet needs a service we cannot perform or the diagnosis is difficult and we would like a specialist to evaluate your pet.
You can rest assured that we will only refer you to the most qualified individuals who we trust will take great care of your pet.
